Senior Capstone: VRCar

A remote controlled robot controlled via first-person virtual reality experience. For my senior design capstone project, my team wanted to design technology that would make the world better. After many brainstorming sessions, we came up with the idea for a small, easily-maneuvered robot that could aid in disaster relief situations. Small surveillance robots with cameras are already on the market, but none deliver a high-tech, first person virtual reality experience that allows you to better visualize and comprehend the situation.

Project Award: DigiTape

A portable measuring device for curved surfaces Digitape is a smart and small measuring device that guides along the side of a table, wall or arch to give precise measurement of length and angle. Then, it compiles these measurements into 2D CAD files. NYU Prototyping Fund Awardee - Check out the article announcing the awardees here!

Internship Project: C-130 Aircraft Safety Design & QA Testing

Safran Group (formerly Zodiac Aerospace) Internship The summer after my freshman year, I pursued an internship at the Safran Group, the world’s third largest aerospace company. There, I worked on the safety evacuation slides for Air Force C-130 planes, 3D modeling parts for the engineering teams and testing fabric materials for quality assurance.

Autonomous barcode scanning robot

Security Infiltration Drone

During my freshman year of college, I worked on a semester-long project called the Security Infiltration Drone. My team used a LEGO Mindstorms kit to create a robot that autonomously navigated through a complex obstacle course— using sensors to scan 5 gate-opening barcodes to reach the finish line.
